About the Artist
Jane Flanders paintings are informed by nature with its endless variation of values, colors, edges, and brightness. Jane uses the mindfulness she has learned from her yoga practice to respond to the light cast upon nature.
Jane has an ongoing practice painting "en plein air", the process of being outdoors and painting nature as the artist experiences it. Jane has participated in many plein air painting festivals in the region over the years. Also Jane has developed her studio practice where she does a deeper dive into the natural subject matter.
Jane uses her yoga practice of opening the heart and the mind to the process of Art making to create her authentic artistic vision.
